Get ready to play, mix + mingle on a 2 hour guided art tour led by Raleigh artist and educator Thea Howell during Raleigh’s First Friday. Explore with Thea in The Warehouse District, and just beyond it, at First Friday art receptions happening at CAM Raleigh, Visual Art Exchange, Imurj, and The Art of Style, along with possible surprise stops depending on the evening. Thea applies her 20 years of experience as a gallerist, museum educator, and fine artist to make the art come to life through humor, storytelling, insight, hands-on activities, and interactive participation. Each gallery setting is uniquely different, offering a well-rounded snapshot of the downtown Raleigh arts scene. Great gallery activities and conversation means that you’ll get the most out of what you saw, make lasting memories, pump up your ability to talk about art, and even take-away a piece of memorabilia. Bonus: it’s on a night where most artists are representing their work in-person, the art-viewing is energized and the wine you never know if an exhibiting artist or local creative or two who Thea knows will get roped into our group. Let’s make an art scene together.
