Near her home, Crystal has rented space in an acclimatized barn to raise chickens and rabbits to local retailers and visitors. Crystal provides a tour of her farm to share her extensive experience in raising small livestock. You can learn more about incubating eggs, raising chicks and rabbits, an explore a nursery for exotic pets like Chinchillas and gliders. This is a great educational tour for those considering backyard chickens or rabbits or just relax and take a stroll through the pasture on the property.

Johnny Ray Francis is a member of the Haliwa-Saponi tribe and has lived in Halifax and Warren County, NC all his life. He has been working since a very young age picking cucumbers, tomatoes, corn and tobacco on the farm. For most of his adult life, Johnny Ray worked various construction jobs such as woodworking, laying bricks, and landscaping. With his need to constantly be working with his hands and learning new skills, he enjoys crafting items that represent his heritage, such as intricately carved walking sticks, tomahawks, pipes, bow and arrows, and soap stone sculptures. He loves to share his love of artwork and woodworking with his family, friends, and visitors.

Dan Gridley and his family have lived in Raleigh, North Carolina since 2006. Dan is an elementary school teacher and has two children that occupy the majority of his time. In 2011 Dan decided to expand on his passion for homebrewing and started farming hops in the family's Farm Boy Farms in  Pittsboro, NC.
